The Position: The Senior Business Systems Analyst for Sales & Marketing will bring together people, processes, and technology to strengthen how our Sales and Marketing teams operate. This role will dig into complex problems, understand how work truly flows across departments, and shape solutions that make everyday tasks easier and more effective. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will work closely with leaders and end users to improve how the organization uses our CRM and marketing technology stack, guide teams through process changes, and ensure our data and systems support smarter, faster decision-making. The role combines business analysis, system stewardship, and hands-on problem solving, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and thoughtful delivery. Senior analysts play a key role in shaping how teams work, how decisions are made, and how customers experience your brand. This roles combines business understanding, system knowledge, and genuine care for helping people succeed that will influence how the company scales and thrives.
Responsibilities
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Business Analysis, Process Design & Agile Delivery
- Lead discovery sessions with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to understand how people work today and where improvements can make the biggest impact.
- Document current processes, map out future workflows, identify gaps, and define practical, achievable solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements, whether for system updates, new automations, reporting needs, or process redesign.
- Guide teams through Agile ways of working—helping refine user stories, prioritize backlogs, define acceptance criteria, and support iterative delivery.
- Facilitate workshops, sprint reviews, and working sessions that bring cross-functional groups together to align on expectations and outcomes.
- Act as a mentor to junior analysts and team members on analysis techniques, stakeholder engagement, and Agile practices.
- System Ownership & Platform Leadership
- Oversee configuration and ongoing care of CRM, CPQ and marketing platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.), ensuring they run smoothly and evolve with business needs.
- Manage workflows, validation rules, user roles, automations, and day-to-day system changes.
- Maintain a clear view of how tools are used across teams and ensure processes remain consistent, scalable, and well-documented.
- Partner with internal teams to evaluate new features, prepare release plans, and introduce enhancements with minimal disruption.
- Data Quality, Governance & Stewardship
- Lead efforts to strengthen data accuracy, reduce duplicates, improve completeness, and maintain a consistent structure across systems.
- Understand how information moves between CRM, marketing automation tools, ERP, CPQ, and business intelligence systems—and help shape improvements to those data flows.
- Establish and maintain data standards that support reliable reporting and downstream processes.
- Work closely with data and integration teams to ensure new fields, models, and datasets are thoughtfully designed.
- Reporting, Metrics & Insight Generation
- Build accessible and meaningful dashboards in tools like Power BI, or CRM analytics.
- Help leaders understand what’s driving performance across the lead, opportunity, pipeline, and customer lifecycle stages.
- Evaluate marketing campaigns and channels to identify conversion patterns, engagement trends, and areas for stronger ROI.
- Present data in a way that resonates with non-technical audiences, using storytelling and context—not just charts.
- Integration Support & Solution Design
- Work with IT and integration specialists to improve how data moves between systems and troubleshoot issues when something breaks or doesn’t look right.
- Participate in architecture discussions, offering a business-first perspective that ensures technology decisions match operational realities.
- Contribute to testing and validation of new integrations, enhancements, and cross-system functionality.
- Change Management & Cross-Team Collaboration
- Support teams through changes by providing clear communication, guidance, and training.
- Build strong relationships with end users, understanding their challenges and helping them navigate new processes and tools confidently.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, inviting feedback and uncovering opportunities to reduce complexity and friction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications)
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Marketing, or a related field, required
- PMP and/or Agile credentials such as Scrum Master or PMI-ACP, required
- Preferred credentials include:
- Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Business Analyst certification
- HubSpot Operations or Admin certifications
- Marketo Certified Expert
- BI certifications (Power BI or similar)
- Business analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA)
- Business Analysis Book of Knowledge (BABOK)
- Experience:
- 2+ years experience in Manufacturing organization, required
- 5+ years experience in Business Analysis roles with at least 2 years experience in a Business Analyst role, required
- Deep experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot, along with marketing automation tools like Marketo or Pardot.
- Strong working knowledge of CPQ Systems (like Tacton, Salesforce, Oracle or similar), SQL, Excel, and data management practices.
- Ability to use and apply Generative AI and Agentic AI tools to enhance productivity and critical thinking.
- Ability to build and maintain BI dashboards (Power BI, or similar).
- Comfortable working with APIs, integration tools, and data transformation logic.
- Expert-level capability in analyzing workflows, documenting processes, and defining business and functional requirements.
- Experience guiding teams through Agile delivery practices, including story definition, prioritization, iteration planning, and stakeholder reviews.
- Strong understanding of sales pipeline mechanics, lead management, campaign execution, and customer engagement strategies.
- Skills: Excellent listener with the ability to connect the dots between strategy, operations, and technology.
- Able to communicate nuanced concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled at building trust and credibility with senior leaders, frontline users, and technical teams.
- Thoughtful, patient, and resourceful when navigating ambiguity or conflicting priorities.
- Willing to mentor others and contribute to team growth.
- Travel: Up to 20%
