Core Objectives
- Ensure aircraft designs are fully integrated across all design disciplines, manufacturing, and maintainability throughout the product lifecycle.
- Implement robust Configuration and Change Management practices and maintain configuration control of assigned aircraft sections.
- Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) goals, including part standardization and partācount reduction.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate requirements, processes, and review criteria for all phases of the design process.
Design Integration & Coordination
- Manage installation design within assigned primary aircraft sections.
- Coordinate integration of airframe and system installations; organize and lead planning and review meetings as needed.
- Define interface requirements and ensure interface integrity for designated aircraft sections.
- Conduct risk analysis for outstanding tasks and determine when review-cycle criteria have been satisfactorily met.
Configuration & Change Management
- Oversee release of engineering documentation and ensure compliance with engineering and manufacturing release criteria.
- Serve as the main interface with Gulfstreamās PLM organization for application development, tool enhancement, automation, and reporting related to Gulfstreamās changeāmanagement systems.
- Support continuous improvement of changeāmanagement workflows and associated digital tools.
Tool Development, Reporting & Process Documentation
- Develop automation, tools, and reporting solutions using Visual Basic, PowerBI, and SQL.
- Create and maintain requirement documents, process documentation, and standards to support design, configuration control, and changeāmanagement activities.
Required/Desired Technical Expertise
- Inādepth knowledge of aircraft design principles.
- Structural, Systems, or Electrical design experience.
- Proficiency with CATIA V5; experience with SmarTeam preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with Configuration and Change Management methodologies.
- Siemens Teamcenter experience desired.
- Siemens NX experience a plus
