Excavator Supervisor

About the Role

YQN Logistics is seeking an experienced Excavator Supervisor to lead daily heavy equipment operations in our Savannah yard. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient material movement while supervising operators and coordinating with warehouse and logistics teams.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise day-to-day excavator operations (loading, unloading, material handling)
• Lead and support a team of operators and yard associates
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and company policies
• Conduct safety meetings and enforce proper PPE usage
• Coordinate workflow with warehouse, dispatch, and logistics teams
• Monitor equipment condition and schedule maintenance/repairs
• Track productivity, equipment usage, and operational performance
• Step in to operate equipment when needed

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of excavator operation experience
• 1+ year of supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment safety practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in port operations, container yards, or logistics yards
• OSHA certification
• Bilingual (English + Chinese or Spanish)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
