Responsibilities

Coastal Harbor Health System is comprised of a 145-bed hospital for children and adolescents, providing both short- and long-term inpatient care, and a 50-bed inpatient hospital serving men and women, ages 18 and up. Qualifications

Under general supervision, performs corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations for facility equipment, utilities, building systems, and physical structures across the Coastal Harbor Health System campus. Supports life safety compliance, Joint Commission standards, environmental safety requirements, and positive patient experience within child, adolescent, and adult behavioral health settings.

 

1. General facility maintenance including basic carpentry, painting, drywall flooring and minor plumbing

2. Skill in troubleshooting electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and HVAC components under supervision

3. Ability to proioritize and close work orders with timely documentation

4. Ability to perform inspections and preventive maintenance per regulatory guidelnes

5. Knowledge of safety practices, including PPE use, lockout/tagout and safe ladder/hand-tool operations

6. Ability to navigate behavioral health environments while ensuring patient and staff safety

7. Clear communication with clinical staff, patients and vendors using service excellence principles
