SUMMARY
Material management is responsible for comprehensive material control, including material purchasing, customs clearance, inventory management and logistics. During the early stage of company establishment, the Material management will contribute significantly to the establishment of MOBIS North America electrified powertrain LLC. Various operating standards and systems will be modified and renewed for new projects based on the previous versions. After establishment, Material management will be responsible for ensuring that materials are available when needed, at the right cost and quality. Material management will play a key role in coordinating with other departments and teams, managing resources, and ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the material management process.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (To perform within this position successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.)
Material Planning
•Serve as the primary contact for supplier supply chain issues.
•Monitor MRP, supply chain status, shortages, and daily requirement changes.
•Maintain EDI processes and execute contingency plans for supply disruptions.
•Support trial builds and issue accurate POs; maintain SAP Material Master Data, scheduling agreements, and inventory data.
•Track and analyze material usage, inventory levels, engineering changes, and part requirements to ensure proper stock levels.
•Provide suppliers with requirements and inventory updates; communicate EC, delivery, and payment issues.
•Monitor SAP transactions (GR/GI/backlog), pricing changes, invoices, and packing slips.
•Maintain material indexes, document material movement, and process monthly supplier verifications and claims.
•Reduce obsolete inventory and ensure system accuracy between SAP and physical stock.
•Manage consumption tracking and supplier portal content; support SAP improvement initiatives with IT.
•Process OS&D items, handle damaged parts, and ensure proper disposal.
•Customs Clearance
•Act as the primary liaison with Customs and duty authorities.
•Monitor import clearance, changes in trade policy, and respond to audits or broker issues.
•Develop contingency plans for customs delays; enter duty slips in SAP and manage duty budgets.
•Oversee broker relationships, bidding, HS-code accuracy, import documentation, and duty-reduction initiatives.
•Track containers from port to plant; manage detention and demurrage.
•Establish C-TPAT/FTZ processes if needed.
•Maintain all import-related records and perform other duties as assigned.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required and preferred for this position.)
Required Education & Experience:
•High school diploma or equivalent required
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities management or building maintenance
•Demonstrated supervisory experience with strong leadership skills
•Solid understanding of building systems and maintenance procedures
•Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
•Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
•Flexibility to work varied hours and respond to emergency situations
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Basic HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and OSHA
Preferred Education & Experience:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry-specific experience required
•2 years (or 8 years for manager) of experience in Just in Time management field in Automotive industry (material purchasing, customs clearance, inventory management)
•Working experience with Automotive industry (GM/Ford/Stellantis/Hyundai/Kia/Mobis/Glovis)
•Strong sense of responsibility
•Detailed knowledge of Just in Time process and system in Automotive industry
•SAP (PP/MM/SD module) and MES experience
•Solid Accounting/Finance/Mathematical skills
•Detailed knowledge of material purchasing
•Detailed knowledge of stock control skills
•Bilingual (Korean) to communicate with Korea Headquarter for CKD parts
•Experienced in plant setup
•Comprehensive problem-solving skills across the plant
•Excellent leadership skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
