Job Summary

Responsibilities

Primary

• Ensures safety compliance and promotes a proactive safety culture.
• Oversees driver safety, trucking operations, and yard asset efficiency.
• Maintains ethical standards and strong accountability in safety practices.
• Conducts routine safety inspections and enforces safety protocols.
• Identifies and mitigate potential yard hazards.
• Manage yard organization, traffic flow, and safety procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates and monitors truck and equipment maintenance and repairs.
• Provides support and safety training for drivers.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Secondary:

• Investigate truck accidents/incidents to determine root causes and implement prevention strategies.
• Document incidents, manage claims, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with departments and external partners to promote a strong safety culture.
• Communicate safety initiatives, requirements, and updates to employees and management.
• Maintain records for vehicle inspections, maintenance, driver qualifications, and safety compliance.
• Implement emergency response procedures for accidents, breakdowns, and unexpected events.
• Coordinate with roadside repair providers during emergencies.

Education / Experience:

• HS Diploma/G.E.D. Required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-3 years related experience required, 3 years preferred.
• OSHA Certification is a plus but not required.
• Insurance background preferred.
• Must have a Valid CDL-A and Medical card with 2 years driving experience.

Job Type: Full-time 

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
