Job Title: Travel Tech - Entry-Level HVAC Controls Technician
About the Role:
Are you looking to break into the controls side of HVAC with a company that will train you into a specialist? We're looking for an entry-level technician with basic HVAC fundamentals who wants to grow into a controls role, working alongside experienced controls technicians on high-visibility commercial projects. This role is built for someone eager to learn, willing to travel, and ready to build a long-term career path in building automation and controls.
Full-time position, based out of Savannah
Heavy travel required — you'll be on the road with your mentoring tech
Pay rate $20–$35/hr, based on skill set and experience
Real mentorship: you'll work directly alongside two experienced controls technicians, Career growth path from apprentice to full controls technician

Responsibilities:
Travel with and support a senior controls technician on large-scale commercial project sites, including major logistics/warehouse facilities
Assist with troubleshooting and servicing building automation and controls systems
Learn and apply basic HVAC fundamentals — meter usage, VFD operation, and core system diagnostics
Support installation, calibration, and servicing of front-end and back-end controls platforms
Follow safety standards on all job sites
Build toward independent controls work as skills develop
Requirements:
Universal EPA
Basic HVAC fundamentals — comfortable using a meter and understanding VFD operation
Willingness and ability to travel extensively
Exposure to or interest in controls platforms such as Niagara, Distech, or Siemens is a strong plus (not required to start)
Strong desire to learn and grow into a specialized controls career
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass a standard drug screen and background check
