POSITION OVERVIEW:

Presort goods, as they arrive within the facility and move them to the appropriate storage or staging sections.  Assist with moving goods to fill store orders.  Assist with handling and baling salvage material. Operates a forklift. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Moves merchandise to various locations inside the warehouse under the direction of the Warehouse Lead and the Outlet Manager.

2. Loads and unloads product from and onto tractor trailers, containers, pallets, platforms, skids or lifting devices, sometimes manually.

3. Stacks pallets, crates or other material or goods.

4. Sorts, packs and wrapping of goods.

5. Follows safety regulations set forth by company and OSHA while performing job duties and operating a forklift.

6. Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.

7. Ability to rotate goods so that oldest items are shipped first.

8. Appropriately disposes of unmarketable or unrecyclable items and trash.

9. Operates material handling equipment such as pallet jack, hand truck, etc.

10. Maintains work area and warehouse in an organized and clean manner.

11. Adhere to all safety procedures and wear all safety equipment that is required for the specific task .

12. Reporting to Manager regarding any damage of property, faulty equipment, or any other safety hazards.

13. Consulting, working, and coordinating with supervisors, managers, third party carriers, and employees regarding unloading and loading operations.

14. Weighs and records weights of product.

15. Documents movement of goods; maintains inventory and tracks fulfillment of store orders.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

* High School graduate/ GED or any job-related experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position.

* Ability to operate pallet jacks and dollies.

* Fork Lift Certification required. (Equipment training and certification are provided). 

* Possess excellent hand-eye coordination.

* Good written and verbal communication.

* Excellent teamwork and organizational skills.

* Ability to operate in a high speed, fast paced environment.

* Good physical health.

* Must have the sense of responsibility to accomplish tasks without supervision.

* A good mode of transportation; may travel to and from different warehouses.

* Ability to add, subtract, and multiply.

* Ability to quickly assess goods and determine appropriate routing.

* Ability to work a flexible schedule.  Available to work nights and weekends as needed.
