Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:Ā

This position requires lifting, pulling, and squatting. Duties of this position require the incumbent to be knowledgeable of andāÆutilizeāÆthe principles of Total Quality Management. The employee in this position spends a minimum of 75% of his/her time performing duties as outlinedĀ inĀ the official position description, which involves contact with residents in a forensic facility or institution.āÆĀ

This positionāÆis located ināÆForensic Central and falls under the supervisionĀ ofĀ the Medical Unit Supervisor-F/C of Forensic Central.āÆāÆĀ

This position involves a variety of clerical skills, which includes computer use (Microsoft Word/Excel), typing, prioritizing,āÆmonitoringāÆand scheduling duties. It involves the ability to exercise problem solving techniques and work toward a cohesive smooth working environment while dealing with multiple projects each day. It also involves the exercise of independent judgment, initiative and the development of specialized work methods,āÆproceduresāÆand their application for solution of technical problems.āÆāÆĀ

Establishes andāÆmaintainsāÆemployee time records for the entire unit. This would includeāÆaccurateāÆemployeesāāÆrecordsĀ forāÆaccruedāÆannual and sick leave for payroll purposes.āÆĀ

Prepare job related injury reports andāÆsubmitāÆforms to Personal Office to be processed for worker's compensation purposes. Also responsible for preparing Personal Recruitment Requests for Payroll Actions forms for submission for processingāÆin a timely manner.āÆĀ

Minimum Qualifications:Ā

Vocational/technical training in an area of secretarial science or office/business studies can substitute at the rate of 720 classroom hours for the required work experience.āÆĀ
