As a CNC Machine Operator at CMC, you will be a key contributor in bringing our precision parts to life for our clients by operating advanced CNC equipment to produce high-quality components that meet exact specifications!

Job Duties

• Load & unload parts, inspect finished parts to close and exacting tolerances & finish specifications
• Operate CNC Horizontal Machining Centers, CNC Vertical Machining Centers, and CNC Lathes
• The ability to read and work from drawings & specifications. Familiar with production processes and understands job packet documents
• Must possess the ability to perform in-process measurements and keep parts in statistical process control
• Responsible for machine daily maintenance checks and scheduled preventative maintenance
• Must be able perform and manage multiple tasks and/or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations
• Perform a variety of general maintenance & shop work, work flexible hours as needed and handle additional tasks as assigned;
• Responsible to maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Adhere to Employee’s responsibilities outlined in Cygnus’ Health & Safety Policy

Required Experience

• Qualified applicants must possess general shop skills and experiences; 
• Knowledge of machining techniques and methods;
• High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);
• Additional Vo-Tech or Technical school training and previous manufacturing experience required;
• Frequent lifting or moving of materials up to 50 lbs.; 
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, work in a manufacturing shop environment (hot, cold and/or noisy areas);
• Frequent hand to finger movement & repetitiveness, handle, feel objects & tools, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking and hearing
