POSITION TITLE: Assistant District Attorney, District 2

STATUS: Full-Time, Exempt

CLOSING: Open Until Filled

SALARY: Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications

BENEFITS: Full State of Oklahoma benefits, including generous monthly allowance for health coverage, paid sick and vacation leave earned monthly.  Paid holidays.

POSITION SUMMARY: DISTRICT 2 is seeking an Assistant District Attorney for the Beckham County Office to perform a variety of professional duties, specifically: prosecution of criminal offenses, including misdemeanors and felonies; handling of juvenile cases, including neglect, delinquency and child in need of supervision cases; providing legal services related to county government operations; and other duties assigned.  Specific assignment of duties will vary based on experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience is not required, will consider newly licensed attorneys and those sitting for the July bar exam.
  • Juris Doctorate from accredited law school.
  • Admitted to and in good standing with Oklahoma Bar Association.
  • Preference to live within one of the counties in District 2 (Beckham, Custer, Washita, Roger Mills and Ellis Counties) within a reasonable period of time of employment.
