Guthrie would like to announce we have partnered with Lackawanna College to sponsor select students in a two year surgical technician program and are now accepting applications. Â Limited sponsored spaces will be available for the upcoming August 2025 class. Â If you are selected and successfully complete the program you will be placed in a full time surgical technician role. Â Openings will be available across the Guthrie system in Pennsylvania.
Details of the program:
- Classes begin August 2026
- Full tuition paid with books included
- Must be accepted to Lackawanna College as well as completing pre-employment requirements with Guthrie
- Must have a college science completed within the last two years.
- Limited spots available
- Participants must make a per diem commitment as a operating room technician while taking classes as well as a three year commitment post graduation as a surgical technician
This program is for anyone not currently a surgical technician.
