Job Description

Machine Operator - 3rd Shift JIT Department

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Responsible for machine set-up both manual and computer-driven.

•Maintain quality production and safety standards.

•Maintain high level of quality production by working to tolerance specifications of + 0.50 millimeters.

•Troubleshoot problems and make appropriate adjustments in order to recover as quickly as possible from mechanical failures.

•Perform preventive maintenance on machines.

•Review production schedules and related information and confer with supervision to determine material requirements, identify overdue orders and to track material/orders.

•Monitor status of all past due orders.

•Assist in the training of temporary/new employees.

•Arrange in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules.

•Enter/scan data into RS6000 system.

•Compile and maintain manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

•One year of production experience or similar in an assembly, carpentry or detail-oriented environment is preferred

•Two to three years of work experience

•High School diploma or GED preferred

•Must have a good overall work record, including a satisfactory attendance record; and be self-motivated.

•Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and use calipers.

•General computer and mathematical skills required along with good communication skills.

•Must demonstrate a commitment to safety at all times.

•Ability to work in a team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling

•May be required to frequently lift up to 25 lbs.

•Hand dexterity and strength

•Overtime is required, including weekends

•May be required to work a flexible schedule
