The FP&A Analyst supports the organization’s financial planning and analysis activities by preparing reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and analyzing key performance trends. This role will also provide commercial analytics - including revenue, customer, and product performance, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely reporting.

The FP&A Analyst will play a key role in supporting Natus Sensory’s financial planning and analysis activities under the direction of the Manager, FP&A. In this role, you’ll help drive financial clarity across the business by assisting with routine reporting, supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles, and performing foundational analysis of key performance trends.

This role will help strengthen our commercial analytics by maintaining clean, reliable data and producing timely reports on revenue, customer activity, and product performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Collect, validate, and analyze financial data to support business performance reviews and trend identification.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, improve data accuracy, and enhance FP&A processes.
  • Prepare routine reports, dashboards, and summary presentations for review by senior analysts and managers.
  • Assist in simple financial modeling to support projections and scenario analysis.
  • Participate in month‑end close activities, including processing journal entries and performing general ledger reconciliations.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to assist with departmental performance and variance analysis.

Budgeting & Forecast Assistance

  • Support annual budget and periodic forecast processes by updating templates and consolidating inputs.
  • Refresh key revenue drivers and validate data used in forecasting.

Commercial Analytics

  • Help analyze revenue trends, customer performance, and basic product‑level profitability.
  • Gather commercial insights from Sales, Marketing, and Operations to support forecast accuracy.
  • Assist in monitoring market or industry trends that may affect commercial performance.
  • Perform other related duties, special projects, or analysis assignments as needed to support the FP&A function

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related internships/co‑op programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and basic modeling techniques. 
  • Ability to work with detailed transactional data while maintaining a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organization.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities and willingness to learn new systems and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to CRM systems, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience in FP&A, commercial analytics, or BI report and dashboard building (internships acceptable).
  • Interest in commercial analytics and understanding business performance drivers.

  • Organization & Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks, meet recurring deadlines, and stay organized.
  • Learning Agility: Eagerness to ask questions, apply feedback, and continuously build finance skills.
  • Professional Integrity: Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates reliability and professionalism.

Pay Transparency Details: The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Natus, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range.
