Your Impact at SAM
As a Survey Technician, you will support office and field staff by processing incoming information and producing final land surveying project deliverables. Â You will report to the Project Manager and perform technical tasks utilizing the latest technology in the A/E/C industry. You will help increase project efficiency and client satisfaction by:
- Processing data utilizing SAM standards, including the evaluation of accuracy and sufficiency, all while ensuring compliance to applicable land survey project and industry principles under the direction of your supervisor
- Monitoring field crew’s production and quality assurance
- Preparing survey plats and drawings, legal descriptions and alignment drawings
- Performing quality control checks of plats, drawings and deliverables prepared by other technicians
- Coordinating with supervisor to ensure client-specific demands are being met
What You Bring to SAM
- 5+ years field and office experience in route survey projects, boundary analysis, DTM projects, and construction layout and data processing
- Strong computer and technical skills; AutoCAD Civil 3D required;Â MicroStation is a plus
- Proficiency in technical math; Geometry and Trigonometry are a plus
- Familiarity with GIS platforms is a plus however it is not necessary
- S.I.T. Certification is a plus however, it is not necessary
