We are seeking a full-time EEG Technician for our Neurology office in Niskayuna.
This is a 40 hour week, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine and ambulatory EEG tests when requested by the physician.
- Measure electrical activity of brain waves using EEG instrument.
- Obtain patient's medical history, explain testing procedures and prepare patient for procedure.
- Measure patient's head and other body parts to determine where electrodes are to be placed.
- Operate recording instruments and choose settings for optimal viewing of nervous system.
- Observe patient behavior and measure responses during tests.
- Complete reports to summarize test results.
- Clean electrodes for equipment and maintain functionality of equipment.

Compensation: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Qualifications include:
- High School graduate or equivalent with additional education desirable.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant a huge plus!
- Graduate of an accredited EEG program
- Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of EEG Technician experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures with a minimum of one year work experience required.
- Computer literacy required.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with patients, families, physicians and coworkers.
