Proctors Collaborative seeks an individual to join the Housekeeping team as an evening & weekend shift supervisor to serve in a professional, front-line, supervisory position. Proctors Collaborative is open seven days a week most weeks including evenings and weekends to service events and programs at Proctors, Capital Repertory Theatre, and Universal Preservation Hall. Â The evening and weekend shift supervisors should be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays.Â

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and support a diverse housekeeping staff to ensure high standards of cleanlinessÂ
- Inspect rooms and public areas dailyÂ
- Address housekeeping needs and complete work ordersÂ
- Train new employees and enforce safety and cleanliness protocolsÂ
- Respond promptly to guest requests, complaints, and internal communicationsÂ
- Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and key control systemsÂ
- Assist in scheduling, resolving staff issues, and overseeing operations in manager’s absenceÂ
- Perform cleaning tasks as needed, including bathrooms, dusting, and vacuumingÂ
- Ensure proper use of cleaning equipment and handling of soiled items
- Coordinate with event and rental managers for setup and breakdown of tables, chairs, and equipmentÂ
- Prepare spaces for internal and external meetings, productions, and eventsÂ
- Respond quickly to last-minute changes or emergency requests from customers

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:Â
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience as a housekeeping supervisor or similar role
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in personal computer usage, including email or the interest in and ability to learn
- Hands-on experience with cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction
- Ability to train and lead a diverse team effectively
- Physical stamina for extended standing and cleaning tasks
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform bending, kneeling, and stretching
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of safety procedures and key control compliance
- Experience with event setups, including working with event and rental managersÂ
- Ability to set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, productions, and eventsÂ
- Flexibility to adapt to spontaneous or emergency needs of internal and external customers
- Demonstrated skills in managing and communicating with a diverse staff
- Ability to manage conflict resolution when needed

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Previous housekeeping / custodial / janitorial experience
- Supervisory experience
