Position Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Lead Food Service Worker (Host) to lead daily kitchen and dining operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food service, committed to high standards, and capable of inspiring a team to deliver exceptional, resident-focused service. This role is perfect for a strong leader who values fresh food, a respectful team environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee food service operations, including meal preparation, presentation, and service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations
  • Monitor quality and timeliness of meal service
  • Help create a restaurant-style dining experience with elegant meal options
  • Ensures dishware, silverware, and equipment is ready for use prior to the opening of the cafeteria
  • Assures all cleaning assignments are completed and documented
  • Acts as a Lead Employee to co-workers in the absence of their immediate supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service supervision or management preferred
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (ServSafe certification preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, resident-centered environment
  • A passion for fresh food, hospitality, and dignified service
  • Communicate well with staff, supervisors, and managers.

Pay Range: 17.25-25.00

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
