Description
The Branch Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall performance, growth, daily operations, finances and personnel of their assigned branch. This includes managing staff, maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring operational efficiency, driving business development, upholding company standards for safety, quality, professionalism and cost control. As the highest-ranking leader at the branch level, the Branch Manager ensures that field, office, and support teams work together effectively to meet project goals and customer expectations. The Branch Manager will also interface with other branches and offices as needed to leverage support as needed.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESÂ
Leadership & OperationsÂ
- Direct day-to-day branch operations, including production, scheduling, staffing, and client servicesÂ
- Manage costsÂ
- Provide leadership and support to department heads, including production, estimating, administration, sales and warehouse/fleet etc.Â
- Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, office and operational proceduresÂ
- Oversee field performance, project progress, project budgets and ensure work meets scope and quality standardsÂ
- Conduct regular branch meetings to align teams with goals, resolve issues, and communicate company updatesÂ
Business & Client ManagementÂ
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to support business growth and retentionÂ
- Identify local market opportunities and collaborate with executive leadership on strategic planning and expansionÂ
- Represents company at local industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunitiesÂ
Team Development & CultureÂ
- Hire, train, and develop branch personnel with a focus on leadership, safety, and performanceÂ
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and disciplinary actions as neededÂ
- Promote a positive, respectful, and productive work culture that aligns with the company valuesÂ
- Foster an environment and culture of excellence across all divisionsÂ
Financial OversightÂ
- Manage branch-level budgets, approve expenditures, and monitor profitabilityÂ
- Review financial reports, job costing, and KPIs to drive efficiency and profitabilityÂ
- Ensure timely billing, collections, and financial accountability across teamsÂ
Sales and Business DevelopmentÂ
- Ensure the branch operates as a profitable unit by meeting or exceeding sales targets and controlling operational costsÂ
- Develop strategies to grow existing business verticals.Â
- Identify new business opportunities within the market and build long-term relationships with key clientsÂ
Facilities & ComplianceÂ
- Oversee facility maintenance, fleet operations, and equipment condition at the branchÂ
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, environmental, and internal standardsÂ
Reporting & CommunicationÂ
- Report key operational, financial, and personnel metrics to executive leadershipÂ
- Ensure effective communication between field staff, office personnel, and leadership teamsÂ
Additional DutiesÂ
- Participate in leadership training, corporate initiatives, and cross-branch collaborationÂ
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by executive leadershipÂ
QUALIFICATIONSÂ Â
- Proven leadership and management skills in a construction, roofing, or industrial services environmentÂ
- Strong understanding of operations, project management, and job costingÂ
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skillsÂ
- Ability to make sound decisions and lead teams under pressureÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management toolsÂ
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, construction management, or a related field preferredÂ
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction, roofing, or industrial operationsÂ
- Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or management experienceÂ
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record requiredÂ
WORKING CONDITIONSÂ
- Primarily based in-office with regular travel to job sites, customer meetings, and corporate officesÂ
- Occasional extended hours or weekend work based on project or operational needsÂ
- Must be able to walk job sites and observe field conditions when neededÂ
