Service Advisor (CDK Required)
Location: Converse, TX 78109
Pay: $18.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (hours may vary based on business needs)
Job Overview
We are seeking a Service Advisor with CDK experience to join our team in Converse, Texas. This role serves as the main point of contact between customers and technicians, ensuring repair and maintenance services are scheduled, documented, and completed efficiently.
The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, mechanical knowledge, repair order experience, and familiarity with service management systems such as CDK.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary contact for customers needing repair and maintenance services.
Create and manage repair orders using CDK software.
Communicate customer concerns and repair details to technicians.
Provide service estimates including labor, parts, and timelines.
Recommend preventative maintenance and necessary repairs.
Perform basic visual inspections to help identify mechanical issues.
Keep customers informed on repair progress and completion timelines.
Explain completed work and final charges to customers.
Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints professionally.
Suggest additional services or products when appropriate.
Schedule technician labor and ensure workflow efficiency.
Follow up with customers after service completion to maintain strong relationships.
Collect payments and finalize repair orders once work is completed.
Assist with collection of past-due accounts when necessary.
Maintain communication with customers, technicians, and management regarding job status.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
CDK software experience REQUIRED
Previous experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or Automotive/Trailer Service Coordinator preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to create and manage repair orders and service estimates
Ability to coordinate technician schedules and workflow
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and climb stairs or trailers
Comfortable working in a shop environment with varying temperatures, heat, humidity, and cold
