In this essential role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of production tasks within a factory setting, primarily at designated workstations. Your duties will include handling and storing goods and raw materials, setting up production equipment such as robots and inspection tools, and ensuring that all manufacturing processes comply with established safety and quality standards.

 Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure paint preparation and coating application on rail vehicles meet customer expectations,
  • Perform coating repairs and apply decals/stenciling,
  • Maintain paint process records (e.g., batch numbers, conditions),
  • Ensure paint thickness is up to the contract requirements,
  • Train junior painters to the job requirements and ensure environmental/safety compliance,
  • Follow safety protocols and report any painting issues,
  • Inspect and maintain the painting equipment,
  • Perform all assembly tasks and other manufacturing requirements as instructed.

Assembly responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain production areas and equipment,
  • Perform manufacturing tasks as scheduled by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system,
  • Perform operations within alignment of the work instructions,
  • Conduct quality checks throughout the production process,
  • Identify parts,
  • Promptly report any deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead,
  • Packing finished vehicles and/or parts for shipment,
  • Completing tally sheets when required,
  • Adhering to 5S, ESD and EHS regulations,
  • Perform self-inspections,
  • Maintain special process qualifications as required.

 All classifications are subject to skills and ability evaluation within the ILUO process.

 Required:

  • Must pass respiratory testing and paint quality tests (e.g., gloss level, adhesion),
  • RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act)
  • Special Process Torque Certification

Experience:

  • Two years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment,
  • A strong commitment to quality, effective teamwork, and clear communication are essential,
  • Proficiency in the local language is also important for daily operations and collaboration,
  • Vocational course in Auto Body Repair or equivalent experience.

 All classifications may be instructed to support various production activities beyond your key responsibilities when necessary.

Salary Range:

USD $23.50 per hour
