Shipper / Receiver - Manufacturing - 1st Shift

WE MANUFACTURE FUN!! Cardinal Systems Inc. is one of the nation's largest technologically advanced manufacturers of galvanized steel walls for in-ground swimming pools. In addition to steel walls, we manufacture steel steps and benches, aluminum coping, liner track, deck drains, liner bead and other custom fabrications.

As a Shipper/Receiver, you are an integral part of our organization in the order processing and shipping team. Accuracy is the foundation of a successful picker/packer bander, every employee is responsible for quality control, as you help us supply the best products in the industry.

Essential Functions of a Shipper / Receiver:

• Successfully completes forklift training and obtains certification
• Provide the safest possible workplace by modeling and following all company safety policies, reporting, and acting upon any incidents or unsafe conditions
• Learn correct method to safely stack, support, palletize small parts and full stacks of panels off the production line
• Operate at a rate which will meet scheduled shipping requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards
• Monitor and review the existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency
• Understanding of company's work instructions, production standards, safety procedures, quality standards, and SOP's
• Develop an understanding of product knowledge to ensure correct shipment of parts
• Learn how to knowledgably read prints/documents
• Learn how to complete required documentation
• Monitor and review the existing standards, making or implementing suggestions that will further improve efficiency

Qualifications for a Shipper/Receiver

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous shipping/receiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Safely and accurately operate material handling equipment
• Experience operating a forklift preferred/ the ability to obtain certification
• Will be required to climb, lift, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills

1st Shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (M-F)
