Summary/Objective

Family-owned and operated for five generations, Stauffer Glove & Safety is a leader in the distribution of safety and PPE products.

Stauffer Glove & Safety is looking for an experienced Operations (Wave) Planner to join our team in Red Hill, Pennsylvania. The Wave Planner is responsible for allocating orders, releasing work to the warehouse floor, balancing workflow and coordinating order changes and special requests with Customer Service. Knowledgeable of all Shipping Department/Inventory functions, and able to actively participate in these daily activities.

Essential Functions

  • Releasing work to the work queue in a timely manner that ensures all daily orders are able to be picked before the end of the work day. 
  • Manage all customer service communications and order questions, requests, or concerns. 
  • Responsible for updating high priority item data to ensure picks are produced for the Shipping Department.  
  • Troubleshoot and correct systems problems 
  • Provide clear and professional communications to staff and all levels of management, communicate professionally with internal teams to manager customer needs.  

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional warehouse environment. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as forklifts, rolling ladders, and other material handling tools. Use of office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 65 lbs., climb ladders, and work on material handling equipment such as forklifts and other moving apparatus.
  • Work in a uncontrolled temperature environment and in a controlled temperature environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

  • This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Travel

  • Limited travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience

  • Minimum High School degree or GED equivalent
  • 3 or more years’ experience in an inventory management or distribution level position.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Preferred 3-5 years in an inventory management or distribution level experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in JDA Warehouse Management system

Work Authorization/Security Clearance 

Position requires the individual to be able to work in the United States.  This position would not be eligible for visa sponsorship.
