About the Role:

Popilsky Family Optometry is looking for a friendly and organized Receptionist/Front Desk professional to be the welcoming face of our practice in Aptos, CA. Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor at the front desk
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Verify patient insurance benefits and process billing and co-payments
Maintain accurate patient records and update demographic information in the system
Coordinate patient flow and communicate with optometrists and clinical staff
Handle optical frame and contact lens orders and assist with patient follow-up

Requirements:

Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or medical/optometry office role preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
Proficiency in scheduling software and general computer skills (MS Office, EHR systems)
Knowledge of medical or vision insurance billing and verification is a plus
Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy office environment
Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct
High school diploma or equivalent required
