Job DetailsJob Location: Scotts Valley Headquarters - Scotts Valley, CA 95066Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: A.S.Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $88,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: ManagementSummary of Job Duties:  Under limited supervision of the Manufacturing Director, oversee the overall operation of packaging to produce the highest quality product, in the safest manner at the lowest possible cost. Specific Job Duties: Administer and manage the development of Packaging Department goals and strategic plans. Evaluate machine and labor requirement to meet short- and long-term production needs. Oversee the continuing development and implementation of cGMP, SOP’s and safety programs. Analyze operations and make recommendations for process improvement to reduce cost and increase production. Oversee the resolution of problems and challenges that affects quality, raw materials, and components. Play an instrumental role in the training and development of all employees in the Packaging Department specifically the Production Supervisors. Provide support and direction on team member performance issues or conflict resolution. Know and understand principles and processes of: Master Manufacturing Records. Packaging equipment that includes Desiccant Inserter, Tablet Counter, Cotton Inserter, Capper, Labeler and Neck Band Applicator. Packaging traveler, order set-up, line clearance, label bay and ERP processes. Oversee the sustaining of KPI’s for improvement (Utilize lean tools). Ex. 5W, OPL’s., Fish Bone, 5 Whys, etc. Perform all other duties assigned by Threshold management.   QualificationsMinimum Qualifications Required: 5+ years of experience in management of a packaging department or similar environment. Degree in business or related field. Strong written and verbal skills. MSOffice proficiency. Knowledge of cGMP compliance. Knowledge of the Code of Federal Regulations Title 21 part 111 a plus Experience working with teams. Exposure to Lean manufacturing practices and principles. Skills and/or Training Desired: Problem solving and lean management skills Knowledge of, or experience in Navision system or other enterprise.
