JOB SUMMARY: 

Provide support services to the loan department to include gathering of information necessary for the underwriting process, loan documentation preparation, payments and maintenance processing. Handle legal documentation, titles, UCC, and other miscellaneous items associated with the loan area.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides administrative support Lending Officers.
  2. Answer, respond and direct calls and/or emails promptly and professionally. Take messages as needed. Greet clients and prospective clients extending courtesy, kindness, and genuine interest.
  3. Prepare and verify loan documents. Review loan specifics to determine documents to be used.
  4. Prepare new loans on SilverLake and run the corresponding GL tickets.
  5. Maintains and updates loan records on SilverLake, Synergy and in the file.
  6. Process payments and disbursements. Compare and verify loan payments and disbursements to loan requirements. Review policy guidelines for conformance to standards, notify supervisor of discrepancies.
  7. Ongoing review of Credit Files to update UCC/EFS filings and maintain status reporting of pending documentation.
  8. Research and resolve problems and discrepancies. Process corrective action, assist loan officers and customers by researching and responding to inquiries. Maintain and balance monthly reports.
  9. Reviewing previous days loan input and reports making sure corrections are completed.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent.
  2. One year of experience in banking preferred.
  3. Educational background in accounting or equivalent obtained through practical experience.
  4. Must possess administrative and organizational skills.
  5. Must have the ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
  6. Must be assertive and possess excellent decision-making abilities.
  7. Keyboarding and computer skills required. Typing speed of 70 wpm. Software skills needed such as: Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, etc.
  8. Effective oral and written communication skills (including telephone).
  9. Self-sufficient/self-starting.
  10. General areas of competency: decision making, dependability, development, environmental safety, evaluation skills, interpersonal skills, prioritizing, problem solving, selling skills, team skills and time management.
  11. Demonstrated record of achievement in social and/or extracurricular and leadership skills.
  12. Demonstrated aptitude to handle sensitive operational transactions and customer relationships.
  13. Professional appearance.
  14. Must be capable of working with and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

 

Physical Requirements:

Light work- exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentration and interaction with others.
