Overview

Network Support Technician provides quality on site support to Huntsville Hospital users with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness. The Network Support Technician provides support for installation, upgrades and maintenance of all hardware and software in the LAN and WAN environment. Performs preventative maintenance on all networked equipment. Troubleshoots and performs repairs when possible and coordinates vendor service as needed. In all instances, the Network Support Technician is the advocate for the user.

Responsibilities

Experience configuring and installing PCs, network printers, peripherals, and software across all campuses.  Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, over the phone or remotely.  Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and meeting platforms such as Zoom, Teams or GoToMeeting.  Ability to lift, move, and install PC’s, peripherals and printers while performing detailed cable management.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems as well as Local Area Network topologies.

Qualifications

Requires an AS degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field.  Extensive experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
