Job SummaryThe Analyst strengthens enterprise portfolio decision making and EPMO effectiveness through advanced analytics, insight generation, and modernization enablement across the intake to delivery lifecycle. This role serves as a department wide intelligence and optimization function, translating incomplete strategy and complex requests into structured, decision ready inputs. The Analyst owns portfolio insights, resource and capacity analytics, KPI development, data quality standards, and automation initiatives that reduce manual effort and improve the quality and speed of governance decisions.Essential FunctionsResource Utilization, Capacity & Workforce Insights
- Monitor resource utilization across active initiatives to identify constraints, trends, and bottlenecks.
- Analyze estimation versus actuals to improve forecasting accuracy and capacity planning.
- Recommend improvements to resource planning standards, templates, and estimation practices.
- Provide data driven insights to PMs, resource managers, and leadership to support prioritization decisions.
- Build and maintain dashboards supporting portfolio health, throughput, stage gate progression, aging, and capacity.
- Validate portfolio level data for governance readiness and executive consumption.
- Develop insight narratives highlighting exceptions, risks, and decision tradeoffs.
- Participate in selected intake and discovery sessions where strategy, technical requirements, or feasibility are unclear.
- Clarify requirements, dependencies, and assumptions.
- Translate strategic ambiguity into structured portfolio inputs that support prioritization and planning.
- Does not own intake processing, pipeline tracking, or governance logistics.
- Identify, design, and implement automation that reduces manual effort across intake, governance, reporting, and PM workflows.
- Develop low/no code solutions (e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps).
- Support AI enabled insights such as capacity forecasting or schedule risk indicators.
- Partner with IT on PPM tool integrations and data flows.
- Define and maintain KPI standards for portfolio health and delivery performance.
- Enforce data quality standards across the lifecycle through exception based analysis.
- Partner with PMs and Coordinators to resolve data integrity issues.
- Support evaluation, adoption, and roadmap planning for PPM tools.
- Train PMs on dashboards, estimation practices, templates, and performance monitoring standards.
- Improve consistency and maturity of EPMO practices through enablement, not delivery ownership.
