1st Shift Schedule: 5:00am-1:30pm

Pay Rate: $20+ D.O.E.

POSITION SUMMARY: Will perform a variety of tasks involved in the assembly of electrical and mechanical force transducers, including soldering using fine gauge solid wire with the use of magnification devices including microscopes. The candidate will maintain a high degree of quality while following set procedures and detailed drawings. Must work individually and as a team as required to achieve production volumes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepare fine wires (cutting to length and tinning ends)
  • Fine wire soldering skills
  • Work with cleaning agents to remove residue flux
  • Able to operate various small hand tools
  • Review travelers for completion

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Must be able to read schematics
  • Must be able to read and write English

PREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-3year soldering experience
  • Microscope experience desirable

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is based indoors in a production environment with loud machinery. Chemicals are also present, and the use of proper PPE is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
