Medical Assistant – Clinical Research (Cardiology/Vascular Focus)

We are seeking a motivated Medical Assistant who is interested in building a long-term career in clinical research. This role is ideal for someone with cardiology, vascular, internal medicine, or high-volume clinical experience who enjoys patient interaction, hands-on clinical work, and learning in a fast-paced environment.

This position offers direct exposure to clinical trials, advanced procedures, sponsor interactions, and opportunity for career growth into a Clinical Research Coordinator role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform ECGs, vital signs, and manual blood pressures
  • Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing
  • Assist with clinical research visits and procedures
  • Prepare and maintain accurate source documentation
  • Support patient recruitment, scheduling, and follow-up
  • Assist with regulatory and study-related documentation
  • Ensure compliance with protocol requirements and patient safety standards
  • Participate in study trainings and mock visit exercises

Qualifications

  • Medical Assistant certification preferred
  • Prior cardiology, vascular, internal medicine, or clinical experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable performing phlebotomy, ECGs, and manual blood pressures independently
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Interest in clinical research and long-term career growth
  • Prior research experience is a plus, but not required
