Responsibilities:

The Research Navigator manages the intake workflow for incoming study inquiries and service requests, conducts initial needs assessments, triages requests to the appropriate Division resources, and tracks follow-through to ensure partners receive timely and appropriate support. This role is a critical connector between external partners and the Division's internal teams.
- Intake & Triage:
Serve as the primary point of contact and resource for all incoming research inquiries from HonorHealth investigators, network partners, and ASU collaborators
Conduct structured intake assessments to understand the nature of each inquiry, the stage of the research (concept, in development, ongoing), and the type of support needed
Triage and route requests to the appropriate Division office or staff member in a timely manner
Maintain a centralized intake log and track status of all incoming requests through resolution in the CTMS or designated tracking system
Proactively follow up with requestors to confirm they have been connected to the appropriate support and that their needs are being addressed - Navigator & Resource Guide:
Develop and maintain a current, accessible directory of Division services, institutional resources, and partner programs to facilitate rapid navigation
Educate partners on the Division's service model, intake process, and what to expect at each stage of engagement
Assist research partners in understanding HonorHealth's research policies, practices, and requirements
Coordinate orientation meetings and onboarding touchpoints for new investigators or partners engaging with the Division for the first time
Develop and deliver educational and training materials to promote standardized research practices across HonorHealth - Partnership Coordination & Stewardship:
Serve as a liaison for the HonorHealth network and ASU partnership, helping coordinate communications, meetings, and follow-up between Division staff and external partners
Maintain working knowledge of ongoing network and ASU partnership activities to ensure continuity of communication and appropriate handoffs
Foster new relationships across partners to build collaborations and extend research support services to new research programs - Tracking & Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all intake activity, including volume, inquiry type, source, and disposition
Generate regular reports on intake activity to support Division leadership in assessing demand, identifying gaps, and planning staffing and resources
Contribute data to the Division's mid-year and annual reports
Identify and recommend process improvements to the intake workflow based on observed patterns and feedback from partners
- Bachelors in health sciences, public health, healthcare administration, communications, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare, research, or academic setting in a coordination, administrative, or patient/client-facing role Required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a high volume of incoming requests with attention to detail and follow-through Preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database or tracking systems Preferred
- Experience in a clinical research environment, academic medical center, or research administration office Preferred
- Knowledge of the clinical research process, IRB requirements, and research regulatory basics Preferred
