As an Engineering Supervisor, you’ll help keep the property running safely, smoothly, and beautifully by leading daily maintenance operations, supporting the engineering team, and making sure every space is ready to welcome guests. This role is hands-on, fast-moving, and essential to creating incredible experiences for every guest, every time.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support the Chief Engineer and property leadership team in overseeing daily engineering and maintenance operations. 
  • Lead, coach, and support engineering team members to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to HCW standards. 
  • Perform and assign preventative maintenance tasks for guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, equipment, and building systems. 
  • Respond promptly to guest room repair requests, work orders, and operational maintenance needs. 
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and attention to detail. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, locks, doors, walls, flooring, and general building systems. 
  • Monitor the condition of the property and proactively identify repairs, safety concerns, or areas that need attention. 
  • Help maintain accurate records for work orders, preventative maintenance, inspections, equipment logs, and supply usage. 
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking tools, parts, and maintenance supplies. 
  • Support compliance with safety procedures, brand standards, local codes, and company policies. 
  • Help train team members on proper maintenance procedures, equipment use, safety practices, and guest service expectations. 
  • Communicate clearly with other departments to minimize disruption and ensure maintenance needs are handled with care. 
  • Step in as a hands-on leader during emergencies, outages, equipment failures, or urgent repair needs. 
  • Take on additional duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the hotel. 

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Previous hotel, facilities, building maintenance, or engineering experience. 
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. 
  • Strong working knowledge of general maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, and mechanical repairs. 
  • A hands-on leadership style with the ability to coach, support, and hold team members accountable. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure. 
  • A guest-first mindset and pride in keeping the property safe, clean, and well-maintained. 
  • Ability to prioritize work orders, manage time effectively, and follow through on details. 
  • Comfort using maintenance systems, work order platforms, or basic computer tools. 
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods as needed. 
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, evenings, or on-call shifts based on business needs.
