Job DetailsJob Location: RAD ONC Scottsdale - Scottsdale, AZ 85258Job Category: Health CarePerform clinical duties under the direction of a physician. This individual ensures that supplies and equipment are available to facilitate efficient, effective care. It is important that a friendly, caring, courteous, and professional attitude is always displayed as this person has front-line contact with patients and families. Duties and responsibilities Record patients' medical history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocol, cleaning exam procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height Accompanying patients to the appropriate exam room; assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, and prepare them for the physician Assisting and Caring for Others — providing personal assistance, medical attention, emotional support, or other personal care to others such as coworkers, customers, or patients Documenting/Recording Information — entering, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form Getting Information — observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, Patients, and Physicians — providing accurate messages/instructions by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person Interacting with Computers — Using computers and electronic medical records to enter data, or process information Cleaning according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; managing inventory of supplies; assisting with the ordering of patient care supplies, restocking treatment rooms, exam rooms, and procedure room Answers clinical phone calls Checks phone messages hourly and return all calls before lunch, midafternoon, and prior to leaving for the day Complies with all AZCCC policies and procedures Maintains strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data Works shifts as assigned. Scheduled shifts/locations will rotate according to clinic needs Performs sterilization and high-level disinfection Performs other duties as directed by supervisor, physician assistant(s), physician (s), and clinic administrator QualificationsQualifications/Education Requirements Must have satisfactorily completed formal training from an accredited School for nursing Oncology nursing experience preferred Computer experience with EMR knowledge Excellent work ethic, including integrity, positive attitude, productive, organized, treats leadership with respect, excellent attendance, continuously learning and willing to ask for help Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a detail oriented, fast-paced setting Licensure/Certification Current unrestricted license in Arizona Valid CPR certification Working conditions/ Physical requirements Medical office setting Moderate noise levels from medical setting and equipment Standing for long periods of time Ability to see details at close range Ability to listen and understand information through spoken words and sentences Ability to read and understand information in writing Ability to communicate information in speaking so others will understand Daily uses of hands to type, file, and write/sign documents Minimum lifting requirements of 25 pounds in order to transfer equipment, help patients with positioning, and pack/unpack supplies Frequent bending, twisting, and position changes in order to assist patients
