HOURS PER WEEK:    40


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The WCR Marketing Administrative Assistant provides professional and confidential administrative support to the Marketing Department. This position is responsible for processing departmental documentation, monitoring media expenses, coordinating advertising placements, and maintaining compliance with internal procedures. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality while supporting marketing operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Essential Duties may include tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and does not comprehensively list all functions and tasks performed by the position in this class. 

•    Provides exceptional guest service to both external and internal guests by maintaining and exhibiting the We-Ko-Pa Way: Smile and Greet, Name and Meet, Thank you, and Goodbye.

•    Maintains controls to review media expense(s) against budgeted amounts.

•    Under the direction of the Marketing Director, will create required purchase orders/check requests. 

•    Performs necessary filing.

•    Types proposals/memos as required. 

•    Performs general secretarial duties for Marketing. 

•    Under the direction of the Marketing Director, responsible for the completion of Human Resources documentation as required. 

•    Places advertisements with the various media used by the department, based on directed placement criteria.

•    Performs post-analysis of media buys.

•    Must possess extensive knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures. 

•    Responsible for ensuring policies and procedures are being adhered to. 

•    Must possess strong computer knowledge and user abilities.

•    Responsible for reviewing and processing invoices from all media sources, ensuring that billings were accurate against placement orders.

•    Exercises sound judgment in the activities in order to verify and control all media expenses.

•    Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

•    Must pass a pre-employment drug test

•    Must be 21 or older

•    Performs other related duties as required 

•    Must be able to lift more than fifty pounds and push or pull one hundred pounds.

•    Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal License (including an extensive background check).

•    Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

•    Must pass a pre-employment drug test.


WORK CONDITIONS:

•    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

•    Stand and walk for 67–100% of the workday.

•    Bend, reach, and use eye/hand coordination for 34–66% of the workday.

•    Sit for 1–33% of the workday.

•    Communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone for 34–66% of the workday.

•    Exposed to varying temperatures when moving between indoor and outdoor areas for 34–66% of the workday.

•    Exposed to a high level of noise on the casino floor daily.

•    May occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.



EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

4 years of administrative/ marketing experience required



INDIAN PREFERENCE:

Preference will be given to qualified applicants from federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
