Schedule:

1st Shift: 5am-1:30pm (Mon-Fri)

POSITION SUMMARY: Grind a variety of precision metal parts to bring them into an acceptable reading point specification using tools such as band grinders, hand Dremel, torque wrenches, etc.

Essential Functions

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in deburring and grinding precision machined metal parts.
  • Basic comprehension of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece.
  • Polish tight tolerance surface finishes.
  • Inspect surface finishes, threads, and broken edges.
  • Remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces.

  • Basic electronic background
  • Algebra knowledge (decimals, conversions, etc.)
  • Reading and verbal English communication skills
  • Willing and able to follow written and verbal instructions and comply with existing standards and procedures.
  • Understand what an option code is
  • Understand loadcell features (threads, capacity, bridges, etc.)
  • Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.

  • Technical Skill Set

Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Be able to read, speak and write English

Preferred Experience

  • Reading schematics or drawings
  • Hand/power tool experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position is based indoors in a production environment with loud machinery. Chemicals are also present, and the use of proper PPE is required.
