Team Overview

As the Marketing Communications Specialist, you are a vital part of the Church & Ministry Alliance (CMA) team. This position supports CMA by executing email and social media campaigns, customizing marketing materials, and maintaining both public and members-only website content. The role manages the CMA online community, monitors engagement across platforms, and provides weekly communication updates to the team. This position also collaborates with ADF Communications and assists with writing content for CMA audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deploy email campaigns in Active Campaign for CMA members and prospects; develop and manage automated email journeys, track performance metrics, and optimize for increased engagement.
  • Plan, schedule, and publish social media content across CMA platforms; stay informed on industry trends, conduct competitive research, and monitor analytics to guide strategy.
  • Customize Canva design templates, including PowerPoints, advertisements, and additional sales resources, and coordinate print orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, on-brand conference and partner materials.
  • Maintain and update both public-facing and members-only website content; publish new blog posts, refresh resource pages, and ensure statistics, case references, and other key information remain current and accurate.
  • Oversee and support the members-only Glue Up community by creating groups, developing discussion topics, monitoring activity, moderating content, and responding to member inquiries—or routing them to the appropriate team member.
  • Keep the CMA team informed by distributing a weekly communication summary featuring key updates and shareable content for use with prospects and existing relationships.
  • Partner with the ADF communications team to align and amplify relevant messaging to CMA audiences.
  • Provide occasional writing support by drafting content such as emails, blog posts, member spotlights, and other materials tailored to CMA communications needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital engagement roles
  • Experience with email marketing, social media management, and digital marketing strategies
  • Experience using marketing tools and platforms such as Active Campaign, Canva, Glue Up, or comparable systems.
