ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES:
The position of the Enrollment Counselor is to generate enrollment for all College programs, conduct educational advising, participate in recruiting activities and continually strive to meet enrollment projections. This position is responsible for recruiting in designated areas within the assigned territory and for establishing relationships with high school guidance counselors and teachers. Some regional and overnight travel is required to regions deemed appropriate for recruitment purposes.
This position is also responsible for planning, coordinating, executing the College’s recruiting and enrollment events; as well as assisting with the promotion of such events and activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Recruit prospective students within assigned territories for all academic programs through targeted outreach and relationship-building.Â
- Represent the College at high schools, college fairs, open houses, and recruitment events; travel as required within the recruiting region.Â
- Conduct individual and group admissions and career interviews, engaging students and families to assess goals and recommend appropriate programs.Â
- Plan, develop, and deliver recruitment presentations, workshops, and high school/community programming to generate inquiries and applications.Â
- Serve as liaison between the College, prospective students, families, high school counselors, and business and industry partners to assist in increasing enrollment.Â
- Manage prospective student inquiries and applications, including inbound and outbound calls, appointment scheduling, follow-up communication, recruitment activity documentation, and accurate data entry and processing. Work toward meeting metric goals for enrollment during each enrollment cycle.
- Support enrollment and persistence efforts by assisting with financial aid coordination and processing, orientation participation, and student engagement. Provide continued contact through the lock-in date to assist with student retention.
- Work during high-impact time periods, including evenings, weekends, enrollment events, the month prior to enrollment, and within the first two weeks of enrollment, as needed.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, Marketing, or related fields required.
      Â
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in recruiting, sales or other related fields preferred.
