Overview

The Produce Field Merchandiser is responsible for the training and development of our hosts/employees to support our brand and instill our service priorities to maximize sales. 

 

The ideal candidate is located in the Augusta, GA or Columbia, SC areas. Relocation may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Works with store teams to ensure effective implementation of company merchandising programs and weekly sales plans.
  • Ensures business plan is implemented in areas of responsibilities including regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures inventory accuracy and proper maintenance of DAX ordering system.
  • Works with Operations and Human Resources to identify staffing needs and developing successors.
  • Ensures stores are operated in compliance with Company standards (as measured by ALI audits).
  • Monitors ongoing program effectiveness, provides feedback to marketing and division directors.
  • Acts as a vital communication link to stores teams, employees, and the support staff, crossing all departmental lines.
  • Ensures the highest standards for sanitation and safe food handling practices (as measures by the business plan).
  • Identifies best work methods to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Ensures department teams are knowledgeable about food preparation methods and the products they sell.
  • Train employees to consistently deliver the service priorities.
  • Ensures desired customer service levels are achieved.
  • Qualifications

    Possess the knowledge and skill generally associated with a Bachelor's degree and 5 years progressive supermarket management experience in multi-store positions and have a thorough knowledge in his/her department. Must be an excellent verbal communicator and have the skill to influence store managers to comply with merchandising and company standards programs.  The ideal candidate is a leader among peer groups with a proactive approach that seeks out continuous improvement.
