Dickson City Hyundai is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Service Writer Assistant to support our high-performing Service Department. This position is designed for someone who thrives in a fast-paced automotive environment and understands that strong communication and documentation are critical to operational success.

 

This is a Monday through Friday position — no weekends required.

 

The Service Writer Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Service Advisors, ensuring repair order accuracy, assisting customers, and maintaining efficient workflow within the department.


Position Overview

 

The Service Writer Assistant functions as administrative and operational support for the Service Advisors. This individual ensures phone traffic, scheduling, and customer-pay/Internal documentation are handled accurately and professionally while contributing to overall department organization and customer satisfaction.

 

This role requires professionalism, urgency, and strong organizational skills.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Answer and professionally manage incoming service department calls
  • Schedule customer appointments efficiently and accurately
  • Assist Service Advisors with daily administrative tasks
  • Support internal processing of customer-pay repair orders
  • Verify accuracy of documentation prior to finalization
  • Maintain organized repair order files and required paperwork
  • Assist with appointment confirmations and follow-up calls
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments regarding vehicle status
  • Support overall workflow efficiency in a high-volume environment


Qualifications

  • Previous administrative, customer service, or automotive experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of organization and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional demeanor and team-oriented mindset
  • Basic computer proficiency (experience with dealership systems is a plus)
