Geisinger Community Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our skilled team of critical care providers, practicing state-of-the-art medicine with support from excellent physicians and nursing staff.Job Duties:
- Work 14 shifts/month
- Mix of days/nights
- 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
- Serve in a collaborative role with the physician and staff in assessing needs, planning and providing education and care, evaluating outcomes, and coordinating follow-up and referrals for patients
- Function as a patient advocate in the medical care system as confidant, advisor and liaison between patients, families and physicians
- Moonlighting available for extra income
- The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area is close to various recreational attractions like Kalahari resorts & conventions, Hershey Park and Hotel Hershey, Camelback Resort & Great Wolf Resorts
- Enjoy some of Pennsylvania’s best hunting, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking
- Driving distance to New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC & Baltimore
- Avoca International Airport within 15 minutes provides endless travel possibilities
