JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Scranton,  Department of Athletics, a member of the Penn State University Athletic Conference, is accepting applications for a Part Time Men's Soccer Head Coach.

The Head Coach is responsible for all program operations including but not limited to:

  • Recruitment and retention
  • Player development (athletic, academic and personal)
  • Practice and competition planning and implementation
  • Team events under the direction of the Athletic Director with the opportunity to have an Assistant Coach
  • CPR/First Aid Certification Required

This part-time position requires strict adherence to The Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC), United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), and NCAA Division III rules.

Hours vary between competition season and recruiting season and will vary based upon team schedule, expected between 15 to 30 hours per week. 

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
