General Laborer

About the Role:

We are currently looking for General Labor applicants to perform a variety of tasks for our manufacturing business. The job includes scraping/painting of metal containers, as well as assisting the shop with general duties. Please let us know if you have any manufacturing facility experience in any of those areas so we can get the best understanding of each of our candidates. The position is full time Monday - Friday. 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices and willingness to follow safety protocols.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality with the ability to work flexible hours as required.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
• Perform manual labor tasks such as digging, lifting, carrying, and assembling components as directed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision to support construction or maintenance activities.
• Follow all safety guidelines and report any hazards or incidents to supervisors promptly.
• Support skilled tradespeople and other team members by preparing materials and assisting with tasks as needed.
• Transport materials and equipment between locations on site using appropriate methods.

Skills:

The required skills enable the General Laborer to safely and effectively perform physical tasks essential to daily operations, such as lifting, carrying, and using basic tools. Attention to safety protocols ensures the well-being of the individual and the team, minimizing risks on site. Preferred skills, such as familiarity with power tools and machinery operation, enhance productivity and allow the laborer to take on more specialized tasks. Strong communication skills facilitate clear understanding of instructions and coordination with team members, which is vital in dynamic work environments. Overall, these skills combine to support efficient project progress and maintain a safe, organized worksite.
