Job Description:
The Full-Time Classroom Special Education Teacher will be responsible for implementing lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED Guidelines.
- 12 month position (school calendar plus 6 week summer session)
- Hours: 8:00-3:00 Monday to Friday
- 12 month salary: Commensurate with Education and experience
- Salary $52,000 - $55,000
- Medical, dental, vision and Aflac plans available; PTO; paid school breaks and holidays; 403bÂ
- Discounted Child Care (full or part time) available on-site
The successful candidate will possess:
- NYSED certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2 and/or Students with Disabilities Grades 1-6
- Ability to develop and implement differentiated instruction in accordance with NYSED standardsÂ
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred
- Bi-lingual a plus
