GMB is accepting applicants for full-time Survey Party Chiefs who are experienced, energetic and goal oriented. Candidates submitting resumes should be able to lead field operations on a wide range of land development, construction, and infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, mentoring crews, and delivering accurate, high-quality survey work with minimal supervision.
This position also offers a clear, supported career path toward Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure.
Signing bonus of $5,000 available to successful candidates
Responsibilities – What you will do
- Lead and manage survey field crews for land development, construction, and infrastructure projects
- Perform accurate field measurements, data collection, and survey computations
- Review plans and specifications to plan efficient, compliant field operations
- Ensure quality control, safety standards, and project schedule adherence
- Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability
- Assist with cost estimates, scheduling, and overall project coordination
- Support preparation of survey drawings and project documentation
Qualifications - What We’re Looking For
- Candidates with a passion for land surveying
- Strong working knowledge of surveying methods, GPS, and total station equipment
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret legal descriptions, survey maps, engineering plans and construction drawings
- 3+ years of surveying experience or equivalent education and experience
- Proven leadership experience supervising and mentoring field crews
- A.A. or B.S. in surveying, engineering, or related field is preferred
- Registered PLS, LSIT, or actively pursuing licensure is encouraged
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check
