Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
- Prepares for Imaging: Sets up and verifies imaging equipment, selects appropriate protocols, and ensures adequate supplies for consistent, high-quality results.
- Patient Preparation & Safety: Receives and identifies patients, explains procedures, ensures patient safety by strict adherence to MRI screening protocols, and positions correctly.
- Performs MRI Procedures: Executes imaging procedures, including computer processing and displaying images, adjusting protocols as needed to optimize diagnostic quality.
- Responds to Patient Needs: Performs basic patient care functions and responds to emergency situations within scope of authority.
- Maintains Records & Logistics: Manages daily exam records, prepares cases for interpretation, archives images, and handles general office tasks like scheduling and ordering.

Job Requirements
Required
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology
- American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) certification is required.
- State of Washington Certification as a Radiological Technologist required. or
- ARRT MRI Certification is preferred
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
