Qualifications:
-
Must know basic math.
-
Must be capable of operating all types of lifts.

Must be able to communicate well with others.
-
Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

Must be capable of learning how to set up, tear down, and operate all Formulation equipment.

Must be able to read and understand SOP’s

General Responsibilities:
-
Set up and change over all Formulation equipment according to SOP for product being produced.
-
Ensure that all products are prepared and batched in correct sequence and proper weights per SOP.
-
Assure that all products are being produced according to SOP for product being used.
-
Keep all condensation wiped in his/her area.
-
Properly label, weigh, and identify all ingredients and meat products at all times.
-
Turn in all labels to Cooler Attendants and Line Leaders.
-
Keep batch sheets filled out at all times.
-
Keep work area clean at all times.
-
Take out trash and pallets.
-
Change batteries on all types of lifts.
-
Clean all types of lifts.
-
Make sure all batteries are plugged in to charger after changing battery.
-
Notify Line Leader or Supervisor of any problems with a product before formulating (missing tools or equipment, wrong meat used, off smell, off color, etc.).
-
Break down equipment, clean area, and label and put up any unused product at the end of the shift.
-
Inspect for and report any evidence of foreign contamination.
-
Responsible for adhering to all food safety, quality and GMP procedures specific to this position.

May perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Equipment Operated:

Stand up lift, electric pallet jack, and manual pallet jack.

Comitrol, grinder, extructor, vat dumper, battery hoist.

Tools Used:

Lock blade pocketknife.

Shovel, fork, and meat cleaver.

9/16” open end wrench, screwdriver, Allen wrenches, rubber mallet, and any tools associated with a piece of equipment.

   25% of a given day twisting.

25% of a given day bending.

15% of a given day walking.

55% of a given day lifting up to 60 pounds.

40% of a given day shoveling up to 35 pounds per attempt.

Must be able to work in temperatures of 32 degrees Fahrenheit to 45 degrees Fahrenheit for long periods of time.
