Job Title:     Parts Clerk

Division:     Arkansas

Reports to:   Parts Department Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Parts Department Clerk will be involved in activities designed to maximize parts availability to all departments.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

3D printing experience preferred and/or the ability to obtain within 6 months. 

Must be able to work in confined areas with widely varying temperature conditions.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Familiarity with operating a forklift.

Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook

Must be capable of acquiring basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts.

Must have a good attendance record.

Being versatile to work independently, with the inside team and with outside Vendors.

Familiarity with IFS is preferred.

General Responsibilities:

Meet daily with the Parts Department Supervisor to define priorities for the days' activities.

Receive inventory items and store in proper location.

Take physical inventories.

Assist maintenance technicians and other authorized employees with parts retrieval.

Deliver and retrieve parts to local vendors.

Retrieve parts from vendors in Memphis, Little Rock and other cities as needed.

Assist with Parts Department housekeeping.

Identify opportunities for decreasing variation and cost of operation in Parts Department processes and make recommendations for improvement.

Comply with all company Safety Policies.

Responsible for adhering to all food safety, quality, and GMP procedures specific to this position

Daily ordering of parts low in inventory, ordering new parts and special parts for maintenance.

Setting up new parts records and updating old ones. 

Equipment Operated:  

Forklifts and EPJ’s.

Computers, printers, 3D printers and iPads.

Physical Requirements:

Constant walking, bending, stooping, and ladder climbing is required. Must be capable of lifting to 60 pounds as infrequently as four times a day.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to drive alone to Little Rock, Memphis and other cities as needed to retrieve parts.
