1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred.

2. Training and Experience: Minimum five years of experience with computer operations/operating systems and/or software applications preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Solid working knowledge of current technologies. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience preferred. Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.

3. Job Knowledge: Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial. Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities. Adept at conducting research into software-related issues and products. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies. Strong written and oral communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Customer service skills an asset. Highly logical. Highly self-motivated and directed. Keen attention to detail. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

DESCRIPTION:

Under direct supervision of the Information Systems Director, the Lead Applications Systems Analyst role is to oversee the design, execution, assessment, and troubleshooting of applications. Also, to strategically facilitate the organization’s application needs including but not limited to support of the MEDITECH system, assist in resolving application issues as they arise from day to day, and assist Information Technology support technicians as needed. They will also oversee system startups in a timely and accurate fashion and provide support to other departments where required. Responsible for one shift, five days per week. Incumbent is subject to overtime, on-call duty and call back as required by the organization.

Physical Effort: Works in well-lighted, air-conditioned office. Some travel is required.

Mental Effort: Position is prone to many interruptions and repetitive tasks
