A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to add a Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager for their Seattle team!
Responsibilities:
- Business Development responsibilities:
- Develop new business
- Identify/market additional business opportunities for existing clients
- Client relations management
- Participate in proposal presentations
- Utilize CRM for tracking all business development activities
- Meet with new/existing clients to gather project information
- Develop proposal sections and scopes of work with technical staff
- Management responsibilities:
- Manage overall financial performance and day-to-day operations
- Implement growth/sales plans
- Develop strategic plan for department
- Manage/deliver quality aviation projects on-time and within budget
- Meet/exceed client expectations
- Conduct job hazard analysis
- Create job site specific health/safety plans
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Utilize staff to keep project on budget
- Technical responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects at once
- Provide technical direction/development on scope of work
- Mitigate project risk
- Assign projects to designers/engineers
- Manage scope
- Identify/document changes in scope and acquire amendments for changes
- Perform airfield civil engineering design tasks
- Manage the bidding process
- Prepare complex studies, construction documents, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentation
- Provide senior QC review and direction
- Visit work sites to monitor project progress
- Communicate regularly with clients
- Define scope of work and man-hour requirements
- Ensure tasks, project schedules, and budgets are met
- Create engineering reports, specifications, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
- Lead project decisions regarding technical aspects, cost, and schedule
- Identify schedule/cost variances and recommend corrective action

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
- Master’s degree in civil engineering is preferred
- 8+ years of significant airside design
- PE License
- Experience in the successful application of FAA criteria/regulations
- Project management experience
- Business development/marketing experience (writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets)
- Experience using project management software
