Key job responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze product regulatory developments in the United States
- Develop and implement compliance solutions with business and operational teams, clearing blockers and accelerating progress toward program goals
- Engage regulators about compliance programs and products sold on Amazon's Store
- Advise business teams on emerging risks and lead efforts to devise and execute risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with selling partners to enhance product compliance and safety standards

Your day will be dynamic and impactful, focusing on monitoring product safety regulations, engaging with regulatory bodies, and developing comprehensive compliance solutions. You'll work across multiple teams, leveraging technology and strategic thinking to implement robust compliance processes that safeguard customer experiences.
About the team
Our Regulatory Intelligence, Safety, & Compliance (RISC) Legal team works to make Amazon's Store safe for customers, empower selling partners with clear compliance standards, and help the business navigate complex regulatory frameworks. We partner across legal, policy, and business teams to drive product safety and compliance outcomes at scale. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 4+ years of compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or equivalent experience
- Experience in Product Safety & Compliance Law
- Experience with regulatory filings and reports or equivalent Preferred Qualifications: - Professional auditing qualification, or similar risk or compliance credentials
- 3+ years of program requirements definition and data and metrics leveraging to drive improvements experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience handling confidential information
- Experience working at or directly engaging with federal or state regulatory agencies (e.g., CPSC, FCC, FTC) on product safety or compliance matters

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
